Mohammad Mohaq is a writer, public speaker and trainer. Mohammad has a master’s degree in Islamic theology from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. He also taught at Herat University for 10 years and spent some time in his PhD at Cairo University in Egypt. Mohammad has published several books on reforming Islamic thought and has provided analyzes of Islamic extremism.

In 2006-2007, he was a member of the curriculum board of the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan, from 2015 to 2018, he was the cultural adviser of the President of Afghanistan, and from 2018 to 2021, he was the ambassador of Afghanistan to Egypt. He appeared on international platforms such as BBC Farsi and BBC Arabic as an expert in his field.

Moheq Consulting Institute is an organization that was founded by Mohammad Mohaq in 2021 with the aim of expanding knowledge in the field of Islamic education reforms and counter-terrorism studies. The organization also conducts research and analysis on religious conflicts and provides evaluations of legislation, as well as works to facilitate the smooth integration of Muslim newcomers into Canadian society.
